Hallsbergs smide AB has been in operation for over 70 years and we currently have around 35 employees. Our core values are fast deliveries, high quality, and extensive expertise. We operate within three different customer segments: repair/maintenance, contract manufacturing, and construction metalwork.

We also perform work directly at customer sites.

We have a broad expertise in sheet metal processing and machining. Our focus is on low-volume production such as prototypes and smaller series. We work with commonly used steel grades, stainless steel, and aluminum.

We are currently certified in ISO9001, ISO 3834-2, and EN ISO 1090.

Experience in welding/construction metalwork/repair will be your area of responsibility.

Therefore, we need to strengthen our organization with employees who will work as "problem solvers" – quotes/project management. It is important that you have strong skills in mechanics/welding, construction, and problem-solving of a simpler nature.

This means that you, based on customer requests in the form of inquiry documents, oral reviews/site visits, sketches, and drawings, should be able to independently translate this into a quote.

Your work will also include supporting production leaders/preparers in production technical work, project management, and purchasing unique materials for projects.

You will also participate in management work for the company and work with the CEO on the company's future development.

We currently use Monitor as our business system and Solid Works (previously AutoCAD) for design.

We want you to:

- preferably have a university degree or a 4-year technical high school (machine) or have acquired knowledge practically over a long period in similar tasks.

- preferably have 2-5 years of experience in similar work or parts of the tasks.

- be creative, able to work independently, and have a developed sense of quality and service.

- be responsible, flexible, stress-resistant, and structured in your work.

- have production technical knowledge in both welding, sheet metal processing, and machining (not a requirement).

- have an easy time collaborating with others and appreciate a varied job with many customer contacts.

As we will work in parallel for some years, you do not need to be completely self-sufficient from the start. However, experience in our type of manufacturing is important.

To assist you, you will have colleagues and a supervisor who will support you with their experience.
